At Ico Traders, we design products that are simple and understated –– no fancy stuff –– just clean, beautiful, with purpose.

Our Hikurangi shelving is an example of that ethos, here purposeful design and attention to detail combines with expert woodcraft, to create a product of simple elegance. 

The solid oak shelf is made right here in Christchurch, allowing us to work closely with our cabinet maker.  Every timber piece is subtly different from the next and of a quality that will last a lifetime – NOT just a season.

There is a lot of love involved!  First, the solid oak timber is hand-selected to make sure the grain & the colour matches, then it’s machined & glued. Next, we sand it smooth & stain before sealing.  After that, we apply a silicone-free lacquer for premium protection.  Its a lot – but worth it!!!

Because the Oak shelving is made in New Zealand, we can offer bespoke pieces to match your specifications as well as our two standard sizes.

The Hikurangi can be installed in two ways: Face the brackets downwards & place the solid Oak shelving on top. Or place the brackets facing upwards, with the oak shelving sitting inside.

Comes complete with a set of 2 HOLD shelving brackets and a solid white oak shelf in a natural finish.
