Coromandel Chair – Stainless Steel

The Coromandel wire chair is perfect for sitting in the sun, engaging in long rambling conversations & enjoying the view.

We’ve made sure to create an outdoor chair that is comfortable to sit on without extra cushioning. However, for those of you who want to add another layer of comfort, we have an outdoor pad, especially designed to fit the curves of the Coromandel chair. (Made in New Zealand & Sold separately).

Our favourite design is available in 2 different qualities:  standard steel, (For indoors & sheltered outdoor areas) & premium grade stainless steel.

While New Zealand is the best place in the world to live, the climate can be harsh – especially in coastal areas with their salty sea winds. Unfortunately, mild steel and sticky salt air are not friends.  While we do all we can to protect our designs from corrosion, sometimes it’s necessary to step it up & bring in the big guns.

Stainless Steel is the best defence against sea spray, ocean winds, humidity & high rainfall areas. It is a much stronger and more durable base material, with increased corrosion resistance.

If you do live near the ocean or in an area of high humidity, we recommend you invest in stainless steel.

Each chair requires a small amount of assembly on arrival, or for a small fee, we are happy to do this for you.

To complete your outdoor furniture setting team your Coromandel chairs with our stainless steel Rotoiti coffee table & a Waipuna side table. (Sold separately).

Custom colouring: $90.00 per chair.

Assembly: $35/chair plus extra freight if applicable.

201 stainless steel contains 16%-18% chromium, 3.5%-5.5% nickel and 5.5%-7.5% manganese (providing corrosion resistance).  *Note: Like a white Tshirt where every mark shows, a small amount of staining may still occur on lighter colourways.
