A cushion made for the Hokianga

The Big Puffy is a cushion seat designed to sit inside the Hokianga Hanging Chair, adding an extra layer of comfort to an already comfortable design.

For the outer cover, we have carefully selected a range of textured outdoor fabrics to complement our outdoor wire furniture: Elba, an Italian woven boucle by Mokum Textiles; Kira, a fire retardant outdoor boucle by Zepel; and Stradbroke, a textural boucle from Warricks. Each fabric allows us to create a premium cushion, made specifically to fit the contours of the Hokianga.

Elba resists UV, saltwater and chlorinated water. It is also non allergenic and resistant to mildew and bacteria.

Kira is anti bacterial, mildew resistant and water repellent.

Stradbroke is easy to clean, Oeko-Tex certified, and carries an AS1530.3 fire rating.

Every fabric is suited to commercial and residential use, indoors and outdoors. All that is left to decide is which colour.

What's inside

We fill the Big Puffy with Dacron offcuts, putting manufacturing waste to good use and creating a cushion that dries quickly and lasts. Each cushion panel has a hidden zip for easy removal of the inner when washing.

Caring for your Big Puffy Cushion

Your Big Puffy is made with premium outdoor fabric and a quick drying Dacron fill, so it is built to handle life outside. A little care will keep it looking its best for longer.

Everyday care

• Brush off dirt, leaves or debris with a soft brush or damp cloth
• For spills or marks, spot clean with a mild soap and water solution
• Avoid harsh detergents, bleach or abrasive scrubbing, which can affect the fabric's finish

Washing the inner

Each cushion panel has a hidden zip for easy removal. If the inner needs a deeper clean, remove it from the cover and follow the wash guidance on the relevant fabric spec sheet, as care requirements vary slightly between fabrics.

Outdoor conditions

Elba, Kira and Stradbroke are all designed to handle the outdoors, but no fabric is entirely maintenance free.

• In prolonged wet weather, stand the cushion on its edge or bring it undercover to help it dry faster
• Store indoors or under cover over winter or during extended periods of non use
• Keep cushions off the ground where possible to reduce moisture contact and prolong the life of the fill

A note on colour

Like all outdoor fabrics, lighter colourways may show marks more readily than darker tones. Regular care will help keep colours looking fresh.
