Orere Sofa – STAINLESS STEEL

The Orere Sofa is a sweet two seater made of stainless steel wire. It measures the same height and depth as Ico Traders’ favourite Coromandel Chair, but it’s big enough for two.

New Zealand is one of the best places in the world to live, but our climate can be tough on outdoor furniture. Coastal areas in particular bring salt-laden air, strong winds and high humidity that accelerate corrosion.

Mild steel and salty sea air don’t naturally work together. While every Ico piece is carefully finished for durability, some environments call for a stronger solution.

Stainless steel is the most reliable choice for coastal and high-rainfall conditions. It offers significantly higher corrosion resistance, along with greater strength and long-term durability. Designed to handle sea spray, ocean winds and changing weather, it’s built for the realities of outdoor living in New Zealand.

If you live near the coast or in a wetter climate, stainless steel is the best investment for lasting performance.

The Orere is Designed to be comfortable to sit in without cushioning, but if you like to layer things, you can add an Orere chair pad.

All  chair pads are specifically designed to fit our wire furniture. (Made in New Zealand, sold separately). Please allow 10-15 working days from placement order.

• If you live near the ocean, or in areas of high rainfall or humidity, we recommend you invest in stainless steel. It’s stronger and more durable than mild steel and has increased corrosion resistance.*
• 201 stainless steel contains 16%-18% chromium, 3.5%-5.5% nickel and 5.5%-7.5% manganese (providing corrosion resistance).  *Note: Like a white Tshirt where every mark shows, a small amount of staining may still occur on lighter colourways.

Because of this & the size of the sofa, we have teamed up with Mainfreight2home to get your purchase to you safely.  Freight costs through our website are calculated for a central area, door to door delivery. A surcharge is applied to all rural area deliveries, or to save on costs, you can choose to pick up from your local Mainfreight depot.

This item is available for local pick up at 12 Halkett St, Christchurch. We will contact you when your order is ready for collection.
