A chair pad made for the Coromandel

If you have sat in the Coromandel Chair before, you know how comfortable our wire chairs are without needing cushions. But if you love a soft furnishing and want to add an extra layer, an Outdoor Coromandel Chair Pad is just the ticket.

Premium fabric, made for the shape of the chair

For the outer cover, we use Elba, an Italian woven boucle fabric by Mokum Textiles, or Kira, a fire retardant outdoor boucle. Abstraction printed fabric is also by Mokum Textiles. These fabrics allow us to create a premium chair pad, made specifically to fit the contours of the Coromandel Chair.

Elba resists UV, saltwater and chlorinated water. It is also non allergenic and resistant to mildew and bacteria.

Kira is anti bacterial, mildew resistant and water repellent.

Both are suited to commercial and residential use, indoors and outdoors.

What's inside

We use a reticulated foam inner, developed specifically for outdoor furniture. Its large open pores allow maximum water drainage and air circulation, giving the pad quick drying properties for hygienic, long lasting wear and comfort.

Four velcro tabs hold the chair pad in place, so it does not slide or fall off. A zip at the back allows the foam to be removed easily for washing.

Caring for your Coromandel Chair Pad

Your chair pad is made with premium outdoor fabric and a reticulated foam inner, so it is built to handle life outside. A little care will keep it looking its best for longer.

Everyday care

• Brush off dirt, leaves or debris with a soft brush or damp cloth
• For spills or marks, spot clean with a mild soap and water solution
• Avoid harsh detergents, bleach or abrasive scrubbing, which can affect the fabric's finish

Washing the inner

A zip at the back allows the foam to be removed for washing. Its open pore structure drains water and air quickly, so it dries faster than standard foam, but should still be left to dry fully before the cover goes back on.

Outdoor conditions

Elba, Kira and Abstraction are all designed to handle the outdoors, but no fabric is entirely maintenance free.

• In prolonged wet weather, prop the pad up or bring it undercover to help it dry faster
• Store indoors or under cover over winter or during extended periods of non use
• Check the velcro tabs occasionally to make sure the pad is sitting securely on the chair

A note on colour

Like all outdoor fabrics, lighter colourways may show marks more readily than darker tones. Regular care will help keep colours looking fresh.
